Disney and Hedstrom:
Who is in charge of product development for "Winnie the Pooh Playhouse Stargazer"? I submitted my glow in the dark tent idea to Hedstrom with Fran Coursey on or about January 2001. They had my “Glow Tent” prototype for eight months and then they sent it back to me. Within months of sending my prototype back to me, they had a glow tent on the market with Disney. During my submission I told Hedstrom that a "Disney Winnie the Pooh glow tent would be cool". At no time did Hedstrom mention that they had or were working on any tent that had any glow properties. I need to find out who is responsible for "Stealing" and “misappropriation of ideas” whether it is Hedstrom, Disney or both?
In 1999 I had sent my “Glow Tent” to Hasbro in Road Island. I signed a disclosure agreement with Hasbro. After Hasbro reviewed my prototype they suggested that my tent might be something that would fit into Hedstrom’s product line. Hasbro would not have suggested this if there were a glow in the dark tent already on the market.
I would like to get to the bottom of this and work this out. I also understand that Disney lost a lawsuit for taking someones concept. I hope that this is not a common practice for large companies. This does not look good for a company that survives on selling to an audience of children. I look forward to a resolution to this matter.

Tim Mercer

Also see attachment: This was a letter dated September 21, 2001 from Hedstrom sent by Brenda Lee. This letter was sent to me with my prototype glow in the dark tent called “Glow Tent”. I like the part that says “I have reviewed the product and have concluded that it does not fit within our current marketing strategies.” I think they mean that they would at that time like more profit for their company.
